BPS Inc., a custom installation company specializing in high-end design, programming, project management and installation for residential and commercial markets, announces their latest project, transforming the Miami Beach Convention Center to include the latest in automation technology.
Miami Beach Convention Center enlisted the help of BPS Inc.’s skilled team to bring their vision to life, with a project construction budget topping $500.3 million, to include design, construction, technology and more. BPS Inc. incorporated the latest in automation technology, including the latest in lighting and shade control from Lutron Electronics. Included in BPS Inc.’s installation plans are 17 Lutron QS Smart Power Supply Panels for shade control power and 108 Roller 300’s with Lutron Intelligent Façade Technology (LIFT) to control an entire bay of shades, all on one drive. In addition, BPS Inc. plans to install Lutron Radio Powr Savr Wireless Occupancy Sensors (LFR2-S) to control shade automatically. Lutron’s Quantum, QSM Sensor Module and Palladiom QS Wallstations are also included in the project plans for complete, seamless control of lighting and shade throughout the facility. Lastly, BPS Inc. will integrate Lutron’s Hyperion Solar-Adaptive Shading, which automatically adjusts Lutron shades throughout the day in response to the changing position of the sun to save energy and reduce glare and heat gain.
“We’re thrilled to be able to showcase our knowledge and technology in design, engineering and project management in automation technology at the Miami Beach Convention Center,” said Joel Maxwell, owner and chief operating officer for BPS Inc. “BPS Inc. is located in South Florida so to be involved in such a significant project so close to home is really exciting for us. It’s been a pleasure to work with everyone at the Miami Beach Convention Center during the course of the project and we can’t wait for visitors and tourists to experience the upgrades that are being included in the MBCC.”
BPS Inc. will begin the first phase of installs in Spring 2017 for the 1.4 million square foot building with 505,000 square feet of exhibition space, 10 additional meeting rooms and nearly 870 on-site parking spaces. A vortex-shaped media screen is set to shine in the lobby with adjustable LED lights to dress walls and ceiling throughout the ballrooms. The project, set for completion in Spring 2018, marks one of BPS Inc.’s largest installations to date.
